As per my observation since 2005 here I am sharing the views about overseas education consultant’s role in India.

Where are the Overseas Education Consultants in India

Thousands of Overseas Education Consultants in India found highest number of consultants is located in Punjab, Chandigarh, Ahmadabad, Baroda, Hyderabad, Kochi and many tier-2 cities. Till date overseas education consultants don’t have any association nor procedure under the Govt of India. However in few states there are association working with in their rules & regulation. Wish HRD ministry will frame rules and regulation for overseas education counseling or Study Abroad or Education Abroad industry.   

What exactly Overseas Education Counselors are doing for Students? 

Counseling, mentoring, supporting, assisting in admission and visa process for thousands of students across India to do Bachelors and Masters abroad. Every consultant have different approach in counseling the overseas education aspirants, all about is encouraging the students to pursue higher education in abroad.

Three kinds Overseas Education Consultants in India

1. Among the consultants few act as trainers cum consultants and train for GRE, GMAT, SAT,           IELTS TOEFL, PTE, German & French Languages.
2. Many of the consultants do only admission and visa counseling services.
3. Others do only train the students for the above tests.

Where these students are going?

More than two lakhs students are flying abroad from India to major destinations like USA, Australia, UK, New Zealand, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Singapore, Malaysia, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Switzerland. Highest number of students is enrolling in USA universities.

What are the preferred courses for overseas education aspirants?

Majority of the students are going for masters course, from metro markets like NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore are traveling for Bachelors courses in UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand & Canada.

Bachelor’s aspirants from premium CBSE, IB, ICSE & Cambridge, State syllabus schools majority are going for overseas education.

Common programs in all countries for Masters Level are MBA, Computer Science, IT, core engineering courses, Medical, Health Care, Nursing, Pharmacy, Fashion, Design and Film Making & many more courses.
